I’ve been listening to a lot of Holding Absence. I really like the lyrics to their songs. They always feel grand and larger than one person. It seems like there are a lot of layers to the song. I want to write down my thoughts on a song, Wilt. It sounds like the song was meant to be sung to a lover who will wait for them in the afterlife. That they will find each other again in the realms of the afterlife. But in this life, they were not meant for each other. In the song, it says, they will be together in the next life. "If in another life, my heart is beating fine, I'll be the first in line." I think it follows the thought that love is not eternal and is forever changing. Who you love now, will be a new person in another life. The circumstances of time also impacts on one's ability to love another person.

I really like how that part is sung because it really struck a chord with me. If no one loves me in this life, I have the next life to look forward to. I think it's about missed opportunities. How one person has said they're not the one for someone, but later on in another life, they're the one for that someone. It got me thinking that I am stuck in this life that I haven't chosen.

I think when I first heard Wilt, I was thinking why was it recommended to me? Does fate know what I'm going through? I was thinking that God had forced me to listen to this song.

Now I'm here, I’m a big fan of the song and band.
